Harmony reports a fatality at Evander

[miningmx.com] -- Harmony Gold Mining Company on Wednesday reported a fatality at its Evander mine on the West Rand.

The company said an employee lost his life in a rockfall accident at the Evander No 8 shaft.

The rockfall occurred at about 5:00 on Wednesday morning in a working place some 2,125 metres below surface.

An investigation involving management and representatives of the Department of Mining Resources will be conducted, the company said.
