[miningmx.com] -- Central Rand Gold Ltd said its Black Economic Empowerment consortium partner Puno Gold Investments intends to appeal a court ruling that was in favour of the South African miner earlier this month.
Puno Gold had sought an "urgent interdict" to stop Central Rand from proceeding with mining operations on some of its tenements on the outskirts of Johannesburg, which the South Gauteng High Court dismissed with costs on Nov. 5.
Central Rand said it was reviewing papers with a view to opposing Puno Gold's application for leave to appeal.
