[miningmx.com] – ZIMBABWE’S mines and mineral development minister, Obert Mpofu, said his government would not roll back plans to seize mine land.
In an interview with newswire, AFP, Mpofu said: “”If there is anyone who thinks they own land, please prepare yourselves for the shocks that will actually befall you”.
In February, the Zimbabwean government said it intended to takeover some 28 hectares of land owned by Zimplats, an Australian-listed company controlled by the JSE-listed platinum miner, Impala Platinum.
