[miningmx.com] – THE National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) is to start a strike over pay in the gold industry from the nightshift of September 3, said Bloomberg News citing the Chamber of Mines which said the strike would affect Gold Fields, AngloGold Ashanti and Sibanye Gold.
“The employers will continue to make plans in anticipation of strike action to ensure the continuation of essential services,’ the chamber told Bloomberg News. “Employers remain open to discussions,’ it said.
