Congo blames Uganda for talks breakdown

[miningmx.com] – THE Congolese government blamed Uganda, which has been acting in mediator with the M23 rebel group, for the breakdown in peace talks, said Reuters citing a spokesperson for Congo’s government, Lambert Mende.

“Uganda seems now to be acting as part of the conflict. It has interests in M23,” Mende told Reuters.

The Congo government and M23 failed to agree on the wording of a document due to officially end the insurgency.
