[miningmx.com] – NEWGOLD Platinum, an exchange traded fund launched on the JSE by Absa Capital, now accounts for a fifth of total global platinum ETF holdings, said Reuters.
By the end of Wednesday, the fund, known as NewPlat, held 375,802 ounces of platinum to back its securities, representing about one-fifth of all platinum held by ETFs, which stands at about 1.83-million ounces, the newswire said.
