Wesizwe Pt Posted: Tue, 08 Jul 2008 [miningmx.com] -- WESIZWE Platinum, a JSE-listed exploration company, said its 26% stake in the Western Bushveld Joint Venture had a net present value of about R1.2bn, and a 22-year life of mine. "This adds significantly to Wesizwe’s overall value as we continue to pursue our strategic imperative of regional consolidation around the Pilanesberg," said Mike Solomon, CEO of Wesizwe. The net present value calculation follows the results of a bankable feasibility study into the development of a 235,000 oz to 271,000 oz/year platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold mine by Platinum Group Metals with which Wesizwe shares the project. Anglo Platinum also has a stake in the mine.
