Gold Fields Posted: Mon, 05 May 2008 [miningmx.com] -- THE National Union of Mineworkers' members will not return to work at Gold Fields' South Deep mine until there's been an independent probe into an accident that killed nine workers last week, the Business Day reported. Gold Fields has instructed workers to report for Monday night's shift. The newspaper reported there is talk by NUM of a strike. Fourteen workers died at Gold Fields' South African mines last week.
