Gold Fields Posted: Thu, 13 Nov 2008 [miningmx.com] -- THOUSANDS of workers will down tools on Wednesday at Gold Fields' Beatrix mine to mourn the death of a worker killed in a fall of ground at the mine last week. "The practice is in line with NUM resolution of observing a day of mourning for each fatality that occurs in the mines," the National Union of Mineworkers said.
