Kalahari Minerals upbeat about results

[miningmx.com] –KALAHARI MINERALS, the AIM listed resource company with uranium, gold and base metal interests in Namibia, reported what it referred to as exceptional drilling results from Rossing South.

The drilling update was published by Extract Resources Ltd, in which Kalahari’s subsidiary, Kalahari Uranium Limited, holds a 40.44% interest.

The large, high grade, granite hosted uranium system at Rossing South is part of Extract’s world-class Husab Uranium Project.

Kalahari chair Mark Hohnen said: “We believe that these outstanding results once again reiterate the world-class nature of the Rossing South uranium system.

“Extract is making strong progress with additional drilling programmes to upgrade the current resource of 292 Mlb U3O8 on Zone 1 and Zone 2, and to establish a maiden resource on the additional zones of mineralisation which have been identified south of Zone 2.

“We believe that the scale of this project is truly exceptional, a fact recently recognised at the Mines & Money Awards in London, where Extract received the prestigious Exploration Award for 2009.

“We look forward to the publication of further results from Extract, including the Rossing South Feasibility Study, expected in June 2010, which we believe will mark a key milestone in Rossing South’s development into one of the world’s largest high grade uranium mines.”
