Keaton expects earnings boost

[] — SOUTH African coal exploration and development company Keaton Energy Holdings said it expected to post significantly improved interim earnings.

It advised shareholders that basic and headline earnings per share for the six months to end September 2011 were expected to be between 8.0 cents and 9.0 cents.

This compares with basic earnings and headline earnings per share of 1.7 cents posted for the corresponding six months of last year.

The company said its interim results would be posted on or about December 2.
