[miningmx.com] — AUSTRALIA’s Newcrest Mining has temporarily suspended operations at its Bonikro gold mine in Ivory Coast as precaution due to possible security issues tied to the recent election tensions.
The company said in a statement it planned to recommence operations as soon as possible at the mine, which produces around 120,000 ounces of gold per year.
