[miningmx.com] — HARMONY Gold has resumed operations at its Unisel mine that were suspended after an employee died in a locomotive accident last Thursday, a company spokesperson said.
“Section 54 was lifted last night and Unisel is back in full operation,” Henrika Basterfield said on Tuesday.
Section 54 of South Africa’s Mine Health and Safety Act allows inspectors to halt operations at a mine pending measures to ensure safety.
