Xstrata seeks new chair

[miningmx.com] — XSTRATA is considering replacing chairperson Willy Strothotte, Sky News reported on Tuesday saying that it had engaged headhunter Egon Zehnder.

The process to replace 65-year-old Strothotte had been given added impetus by the fact that commodities trader Glencore International, where he is also chairman, is mulling a stock market listing next year, Sky reported.

Nobody at Xstrata could immediately be reached for comment.
