[miningmx.com] — MEMBERS of the Chamber of Mines on Tuesday elected new office bearers for the 2011-financial year at the organisation’s annual general meeting held in Johannesburg.
The new officials are chairperson of BHP Billiton SA Xolani Mkhwanazi as president; as well as AngloGold Ashanti CEO Mark Cutifani and Anglo Platinum CEO Neville Nicolau as vice-presidents.
Both Mkhwanazi and Cutifani were serving vice presidents of the chamber.
Sipho Nkosi, CEO of Exxaro Resources, whose term president ended on Tuesday, didn’t avail himself for re-election, the chamber said in a statement.
