Hulamin announces Fourie’s successor

[miningmx.com] — Hulamin, an independent producer of semi-finished and fabricated aluminium products, on Monday announced the appointment of Richard Jacob as CEO with effect from July 2010.

Jacob’s appointment follows the retirement of Alan Fourie.

The company said its board conducted an extensive search process and considered candidates from Hulamin and outside the company.

In the end, the board opted to appoint someone from within the company.

Hulamin chairperson Mafika Mkwanazi said Jacob has twenty years service with
Hulamin and “has achieved notable success in entrenching Hulamin’s competitive
position in both the local and export markets”.

Jacob has been a member of the Hulamin executive committee for the past eight
years.

At 09:29 shares in Hulamin were 1.90% or 20c lower at R10.30 on the JSE.
