[miningmx.com] — MINING major Anglo American expects its Barro Alto project in Goias, Brazil, to put out 41,000 tonnes of nickel in 2013, Walter DeSimoni, the head of nickel at the company’s local subsidiary, said on Thursday.
Simoni said the project should reach full capacity in the second half of 2012.
He added that a study of the company’s Jacare project in Para state indicates the potential for 80,000 tonnes of nickel a year.
