[miningmx.com] — A STUDY commissioned by the ANC’s national general council into state intervention in the mining industry – and which covered research into Zambia, Chile and China – will be handed to the party’s policy committee today, said the Mail & Guardian.
The researchers, which included Paul Jordan, formerly of Mintek, would hand their findings to Jeff Radebe, minister of justice and constitutional development, and chairman of the policy committee, said the newspaper citing ANC spokesperson, Keith Khoza.
The research team investigated state intervention into the mining economies of all the countries identified by the party’s national executive committee. These included Zambia, Namibia and Botswana. The team also visited Chile, Brazil and Venezuela as well as Sweden, Norway and Finland, the Mail & Guardian said.
