[miningmx.com] — CABINET has approved implementation plans for the minerals beneficiation strategy, government spokesman Jimmy Manyi said on Thursday.
At its regular Wednesday meeting, the executive approved implementation plans for both the iron and steel value chains and energy commodities value chains, he told a briefing at Parliament.
Cabinet also approved the interdepartmental structure that would manage the process.
Pre-empting questions on the issue, Manyi said the minerals resources department would hold a press conference on the issue.
“So, all the details and intricacies around this matter will be discussed then.
“For now, [we are] just announcing the decision,” he said.
