Kusasalethu closure to cost Harmony R112m.

[miningmx.com] – THE two-week closure of Harmony Gold’s Kusasalethu mine would cost the company about R112m in revenue, said BDLive.

“We’re going to take a major knock this quarter,” Harmony spokeswoman Marian van der Walt told the publication.

Harmony announced on October 31 that illegal mining near its west Rand mine was probably behind three underground fires in a month. As a result, the company had resolved to shut the mine whilst its removed illegal mining activities.
