[miningmx.com] – GLENCORE increased third quarter coal production 9.2% despite a decline in the value of the fuel to its lowest level in five years, said Bloomberg News citing the Swiss group’s latest production figures.
Total output from mines in Australia, South Africa and Colombia rose to 40.2 million tons (mt) from 36.8mt a year ago. Copper production decreased 5.3% to 391,300t from 413,100t a year earlier.
