Pressure heaped on Tsotsi as inquiry stalls

[miningmx.com] – PRESSURE was heaped on Eskom chairman, Zola Tsotsi, after the utility’s board rejected proposals set down for an inquiry, said BDLive.

The publication also said there was speculation that members of Eskom’s board wanted Tsotsi to be removed as there was “substantial discomfort” as to how the inquiry came about with sources saying it was on the direct instruction of President Jacob Zuma.

“On Friday, after a meeting with Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown, the board went into a formal session to table a resolution of no confidence in Mr Tsotsi. The next move will be for the board to give a notice to Ms Brown recommending Mr Tsotsi’s removal,” said BDLive.
