[miningmx.com] – ANGLO American said it had appointed Koosum Kalyan and Rams Ramashia to the board of its South African company.
Kalyan worked at Shell in South Africa and the UK whilst Ramashia was formerly chairman of BP Southern Africa.
“They bring with them considerable experience and knowledge from across the private and public sectors which will help Anglo American realise its business ambitions while creating shared value for South Africa, our shareholders and stakeholders,” said Mark Cutifani, CEO of Anglo American.
The appointments follow changes to Anglo American’s leadership structure in South Africa following a detailed governance review in which Cutifani was appointed chairman of the company.
