
[miningmx.com] – ANIL Argawal, chairman of Indian company, Vedanta, said former Anglo American CEO, Cynthia Carroll, would bring a new perspective to the company as it sought to reverse a 15% share price loss this year.
In an interview with Bloomberg News, Argawal described Carroll as being “a good combination” for Vedanta after joining as a consultant in September. “She’s very good at aluminum. She’s very good at M&A,” Argawal told Bloomberg News.
Said Vedanta CEO, Tom Albanese in a conference call earlier today: “I have known Cynthia for many, many years and she brings a different way of looking at things to basically the strategic thinking of Vedanta”.
