[miningmx.com] — ANGLO American Metallurgical Coal said on Wednesday heavy rains over the last several days have impacted its coal production in Australia’s Queensland state.
Production at the company’s Dawson mine in particular has been disrupted due to rains and flooding, which has severely restricted access to the mine, a company spokesperson said.
Anglo American is the second-largest exporter of metallurgical coal in Australia and owns two thermal coal mines.
