[miningmx.com] — SOUTH Africa’s junior gold miner DRDGOLD said on Tuesday a pipeline and plant expansion project at its Ergo and Crown operations would up its potential resource to 600 million tonnes.
The project, estimated to cost R300m ($42.02 million), will give Crown access to Ergo’s 200-million-tonne-capacity tailings deposition site at Brakpan, raising its deposition capacity to 600,000 tonnes per month from the current 400,000 tonnes.
The new pipeline is scheduled to be completed in August next year.
