Zimbabwe ‘owns’ 51% of non-compliant mines

[miningmx.com] — ZIMBABWE’S indigenisation minister Saviour Kasukuwere said the state now owned 51% of all mines that have not complied with the countries local ownership laws, Reuters reported on Thursday.

“All mining companies that have not complied … should note that 51% of their shareholding is now deemed to be owned by the state,” he said in a statement.
