EFF to launch targeted campaign of shutdowns

[miningmx.com] – THE Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) said it would launch a campaign of targeted shutdowns if certain institutions failed to meet its 30-day ultimatum, said BDLive.

As part of a 7,000-strong march, EFF deputy president, Floyd Shivambu, delivered a list of demands to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in which the party demanded a minimum wage of R4,500 per month.

It also said that companies operating in South Africa should be listed on the JSE and that their headquarters should be on South African soil. In Sandton, EFF marchers also staged a sit-down outside the US consulate with EFF leaders calling for an end to imperialism, said BDLive.
