RBPlat anticipates earnings uplift

[miningmx.com] – ROYAL Bafokeng Platinum (RBPlat) said interim headline earnings would be up to 39% higher year-on-year owing to a higher realised price for its basket of metals produced.

The higher headline earnings is notwithstanding the issue of shares in order to raise R1.5bn, capital required to complete its Styldrift project.

The company recently signed a new three-year wage agreement of between 9.5% and 10.5% with the National Union of Mineworkers. The agreement can be extended for a further two years allowing for the effects of inflation.
