[miningmx.com] – ANIL Agarwal, the founder of Vedanta Resources, is to donate 75% of his $3.3bn fortune after a meeting with Microsoft’s Bill Gates, said Bloomberg News.
“What we earn must be returned for the greater good of society,’ said Agarwal whose Vedanta listed in London 10 years ago. “Life is not only about wealth.’
The donation is in terms of Gates’ Giving Pledge program, which seeks to encourage the world’s wealthiest people to give away half of their wealth to charity.
