[miningmx.com] – RUSSIA and South Africa plan to hold talks next year aimed at finding ways to support the prices of platinum group metals (PGM).
Citing Phuti Mabelebele, a spokeswoman for South Africa’s mines ministry, Bloomberg News said the two countries will invite mining companies, traders and consumers to “jointly consider appropriate options to achieve stability and sustainable growth’.
Representatives from South Africa and Russian met on November 6 in which they collaborated “… on technology development and jointly exploring new applications for the metal” in an effort to grow demand, said Bloomberg News.
