Skweyiya questions PetroSA appointment

[miningmx.com] – A FORMER cabinet minister Zola Skweyiya may ask South African president Jacob Zuma to have Tshepo Kgadima removed as chairman of PetroSA following his recent appointment, said BDLive.

The newspaper said that Kgadima, who was CEO of LontohCoal, failed to recover R3m given to him by Skweyiya – funds that were in support of a proposed $1bn listing of LontohCoal in Hong Kong.

Skweyiya questioned the suitability of Kgadima to head PetroSA following his appointment earlier this month by energy minister, Tina Joemat-Pettersson. “You can’t put such a person to run a company that is a multimillion-rand entity,” Skweyiya is quoted to have said in the BDLive article.
