Gold Fields narrowly beats gold output target

[miningmx.com] – GOLD Fields would produce 2.22 million ounces of gold in its 2014 financial year, slightly higher than the original guidance of 2.20 million oz. This was after producing 556,000 oz in the fourth quarter of the year.

All-in sustaining costs would be $1,060/oz which was 6% better than guided while alli-in costs would be $1,095/oz for the year – some 5% better than its original guidance, the company said in an announcement to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Gold Fields’ full results for the quarter and year ended 31 December 2014 would be published on Thursday, 12 February, the company said.
