[miningmx.com] – STAKEHOLDERS in the South African gold mining sector did not spend enough time thinking about how to maximise profits, said Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan

The problem was that people are fighting about a pie that is shrinking. “There is not enough effort going into thinking about how to make the pie bigger”. Venkatakrishnan also said gold mining was not for the faint-hearted.
“It comes with numerous challenges … The impact you have when you take decisions for the long term is phenomenal.” Venkatakrishnan was commenting in an article by the Financial Times which was republished by BDLive.
