Tawana in MoU for Liberia port use

[miningmx.com] – TAWANA Resources said it had signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Chinese company WISCO CAD Mining Company in respect of using its port facilities at Liberia’s Monrovia.

Tawana is developing the Mofe Creek an iron ore project in the West African country which is estimated to contain between 65% and 68% iron and would therefore be sold at premium if developed.

“We believe this MoU could promote mutually beneficial cooperation and export opportunities between our companies as well as create the opportunity to increase the export capacity and revenues of the Freeport facilities,’ said Tawana CEO, Wayne Richards.
