[miningmx.com] – WESCOAL Holdings said it was on course to produce 330,000 tonnes of run of mine coal during the final quarter of its financial year which would take full-year production to 4 million tonnes on an annualised basis.
Production would be supplemented with first run of mine production from Elandspruit, a mine in South Africa’s Mpumalanga province which was scheduled to produce its first coal this month, the company said.
It added that it had appointed Diesel Power Open Cast Mining Proprietary as the mining contractor at Elandspruit Mine.
