Transnet CFO to oversee Eskom funding plan

[miningmx.com] – ANOJ Singh, CFO of state-owned logistics and transport company, Transnet, is to be seconded to Eskom, the power utility said.

Singh will be responsible for “driving all aspects of the company’s finance strategy” including a R250bn funding plan, said Eskom.

Singh would hold the temporary position from August 1 for a period of six months, the company said.

He will join Brian Molefe, CEO of Transnet who is also currently acting CEO of Eskom following the resignation of its former head, Tshediso Matona. Molefe’s three month contract was extended a further three months earlier this week.
