CRG says dam delayed by three weeks

[miningmx.com] – EFFORTS by Central Rand Gold to stem the effects of rising acid mine drainage (AMD) were affected by a three week, wage-related strike in the construction sector, the company said in an update to the JSE today.

The company is building an 84 million litre high density sludge plant which is expected to stop the rising AMD.

“The project has been delayed by approximately three weeks … This delay is not expected to impact on the company’s production outlook,” Central Rand Gold CEO, Johan du Toit said in a statement.
