[miningmx.com] – SURVIVORS from the Marikana shootings in which 35 protesting miners were killed at Lonmin’s mine just over a year ago would march on the Union Buildings in Pretoria, according to Sapa which said they were seeking state legal funding.
Citing Citizens4Marikana, Sapa said the survivors had instructed their lawyers to secure permission for the Union Buildings march.
The wanted to appeal directly to President Jacob Zuma for legal assistance in their quest to uncover the truth of what happened in August 2012, Sapa said.
