[miningmx.com] – AREVA SA said it was in advanced discussions with Namibia’s state-owned water utility, Namwater, about supply to the uranium mines in the southern African country’s Erongo region, said Bloomberg News.
“Areva and Namwater are currently at an advanced stage of finalizing agreements for the supply of bulk desalinated water to the uranium mines in the Erongo region,’ said Hilifa Mbako, MD of Areva SA.
“We are ready to start providing the water at an agreed price,’ he told the newswire service.
