[miningmx.com] – THE South African government ought to stick to firm policies or risk not seeing another deep level mining investment in the country, warned Cadiz Corporate Solutions mining consultant, Peter Major.
Independent News quoted Major as saying at an international conference that the sector had helped South Africa “a lot”, but the mining industry should not be used as a political tool.
“Nobody will ever do another deep level mine in this country unless we change the [political] environment’ to create certainty for investors,” Major said.
