[miningmx.com] – GEM Diamonds posted a 39% decline in first half profits owing to lower production at the firm’s Letseng diamond mine in Lesotho, according to a report by Reuters.
Pretax profit decreased to $23.2m for the six months ended June 30 from $38.2m a year earlier. Revenue fell 21% to $96.5m.
