[miningmx.com] – ROGER Baxter, chief operating officer for the Chamber of Mines of South Africa, will be the organisation’s acting CEO until the end of the year after CEO, Bheki Sibiya was asked to chair cement maker, PPC, on an interim basis.
PPC surprised the market on September 22 after announcing that its CEO of only two years, Ketso Gordhan, had resigned from the company.
“Ketso regrettably resigned due to differences of opinion with the board, regarding board procedures for the approval of certain decisions,” PPC said in an announcement.
