[miningmx.com] – AQUARIUS Platinum posted record December quarter production of some 88,794 ounces of platinum group metals after strong performances from its Kroondal and Mimosa operations, said BDLive.
“Both Kroondal and Mimosa delivered excellent production and cost performances in the quarter, with Mimosa recording its highest ever quarterly production and Kroondal delivering a record eighth consecutive quarter of above 105,000 4E ounce production,” CEO Jean Nel said in a statement cited by BDLive in its article.
“The increased production, coupled with excellent cost management enabled Aquarius to generate positive operational cash flows despite a sharp drop in PGM prices, which fell by 10% in US dollar terms and 8% in rand terms,” he said.
