[miningmx.com] – MERAFE Resources said attributable ferrochrome production for the first nine months of its 2015 financial year increased 14.5% compared to the same period last year.
Output totalled 277,000 tonnes for the nine months against 242,000 tonnes previously whilst third quarter production was 82,000 tonnes compared to 74,000 tonnes in the third quarter of the 2014 financial year.
“This increase was primarily attributable to the additional production from the Project Lion II furnaces,” the company said in a statement to the JSE. Merafe is in joint venture with Glencore.
