
[miningmx.com] – THE Association of Mineworkers & Construction Union (AMCU) has postponed a decision as to whether it would strike at platinum mines where it has a dispute to next year.
Jimmy Gama, AMCU treasurer and spokesman, told Bloomberg News that the union would wait until after the two-week break in January before deciding whether to strike at Anglo American Platinum (Amplats).
The AMCU had considered calling a strike vote on November 30 or December 1, but was unable to arrange a venue, Gama told the news wire agency.
