[miningmx.com] – THE Geneva home of Beny Steinmetz was raided by Swiss police, said Bloomberg News which cited a person familiar with the matter.
The raid took place in the last two weeks, the news agency said. No documents were taken from Steinmetz’s home.
In July, Steinmetz rejected US claims that payments by a man with ties to his BSG Resources were made to help win a mining concession in Guinea.
Bloomberg News citing an interview with Israeli newspaper Yedioth Aharonot, quoted Steinmetz as saying: “That is nonsense. The company paid nothing to no one.’
