Trans Hex to post 73% lower earnings

[miningmx.com] – TRANS Hex is to post a 73% decline in full year net profit owing to lower production from its South African assets, the company said in a trading statement to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

Strike activity and the termination of joint venture contractors led to production falling to 52,081 carats from 67,115 carats in the 2013 financial year. Net profit came in at R22.7m from R85.4m previously.

Share earnings would be 20.7 cents from 79.7 cents previously and headline earnings per share would be 9.8 cents from 69.9 cents previously, it said.
