Platinum Australia takeover back on track

[miningmx.com] – THE proposed takeover of Platinum Australia by JSE-listed Jubilee Platinum is back on track after a liquidation application against a subsidiary of Platinum Australia was withdrawn, said BDLive.

Platinum Australia paid JIC, a contract miner on one of the now mothballed mines owned by the Australian company, R3.5m in an out-of-court settlement.

The dispute between the two companies revolved around the removal of JIC as the contract miner at Smokey Hill and the handing over of operations to PhokaThaba, said BDLive.
