Smith to join Pan African board

[miningmx.com] – PAN African Resources said Rowan Smith, a former managing director of Shanduka Resources, would take up a board seat with immediate effect. Shanduka is a shareholder in Pan African Resources.

“His [Smith’s] skills and experience, both operationally and commercially, will strengthen Pan African Resources’ expertise in these areas as the company looks to build on its successful precious metals operations,’ said Keith Spenser, chairman of Pan African Resources.

Smith is a qualified geologist who worked for Rand Mines, seven years with Societe Generale de Surveillance, and four years as a Director of Investec Bank’s Resource Finance Division.
